Saturday, April 14, 2007 What: West Wilson AFS Tie Dye Party and BBQ
Who: AFS students, family, friends, returnees and volunteers
Where: Charlie Daniels Park, 1075 Charlie Daniels Pkwy, Mt Juliet, 37122 (pavilion #3 located closest to the playground)
Time: 2:30pm-9:00pm
Tie dye instructor will be on hand to teach students, family & friends the art of tie dying a t shirt. Cost is $12.00 per shirt, exchange students will tie dye 1 shirt at no charge (area team & chapter pick up the expense). Instruction starts at 3pm.
We will also have Whitt’s BBQ and invite you to bring a dessert or side dish to share (not mandatory).
We plan to go to the Cedar Creek Sports Center, 10770 Lebanon Road, Mt Juliet, 37122 around 6pm for go karts, batting cages, mini golf, etc.
This is also at no charge to the exchange students (for up to 5 activities or rides).
We should be done around 9pm.
Please contact Jackie O'Connor at 305 4584 with a head count for both food as well as t shirts sizes for those who will be dying shirts by April 7th.
Bring your soccer ball, Frisbee, etc. as there is a nice field for games.

*AFS Information Day for interested host families from 10:30-11:30
LOCATION: at Watkins College of Art & Design, located at 2298 Metro Center Blvd, Nashville, TN 37228. NOTE: Directions are on our "Directions" page. After the orientation, our Group Activity will be at Centennial Park, 2500 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN where we will park and bring lawn chairs, blankets, sports equipment, sit on the lawn close to the Centennial Event Shelter (an outdoor covered shelter), for the BIG BAND DANCE EVENT. You can either bring your own picnic supper or purchase your supper at the FOOD TENT, that sells chicken, hot dogs, drinks, etc. The dance lesson begins at 7 until 7:30 PM followed by dancing for everyone until 10 PM.

Host families will say good-bye to their students in Nashville at 1:30 PM, Sunday, June 24. Later that day students will have a 6-hour End-of-Stay Orientation. Select for some details and instructions.
